Has your Dog been vaccinated against Kennel Cough?
Did you know…
Your dog does not have to have been in kennels in order to catch Kennel Cough
In fact, we have seen many recent cases of Kennel Cough in dogs that have not been in kennels at all.
Kennel Cough is very contagious, some dogs may only have mild symptoms, while others can be very poorly and develop complications.
The Kennel Cough vaccination can be given 2 weeks after or before your dog's annual vaccination. It's given by Richard as a simple intranasal drop.
Please be aware that if you are leaving your dog with a dog sitter or they are staying at kennels while you are away, they may be required to have a Kennel Cough Vaccination at least 2 weeks prior to their stay. It's advisable to confirm this with the kennels before booking your dog's vaccination.
Signs to look out for…
A harsh, dry, hacking cough
Snorting or gagging
